Do you know how special you are?

God the Father loves you so much that He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to die on the cross as payment for your sins. Payment? For what? Well, there is a cost and price for going our own way. God is just. That means that there must be justice done for all wrong. There must be payment for all sin. But God provided a way for YOU to have atonement, or payment, for your sin. When Jesus was nailed to the cross, bled and died, He paid the price for YOUR sin. Why did He do this? So He could have a relationship with you.

Any relationship requires a response. The gift of forgiveness and salvation is extended to you, but you must accept it. You must receive it. You must . . .

Repent - Turn Away from Sin

• "... for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God ..." Romans 3:23
  
  
• "There is no one righteous, not even one; there is no one who understands, no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one... There is no fear of God before their eyes." Romans 3:10-18
  
  
• "If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us." 1 John 1:8
  
  
• "'Therefore, let all Israel be assured of this: God has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.' When the people heard this they were cut to the heart and said to Peter and the other apostles, 'Brothers, what shall we do?'
  
  Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off -- for all whom the Lord our God will call.'" Acts 2:38-39
  
  

Confess Jesus as Lord

• "But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us." Romans 5:8
  
  
• "... if you confess with your mouth, 'Jesus is Lord,' and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved." Romans 10:9-10
  
  
• "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith -- and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God -- not by works, so that no one can boast." Ephesians 2:8-9
  
  

Be Baptized

• Peter replied, 'Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:38
  
  
• In him you were also circumcised, in the putting off of the sinful nature, not with a circumcision done by hands of men but with the circumcision done by Christ, having been buried with him in baptism and raised with him through your faith in the power of God, who raised him from the dead." Colossians 2:11-12
